Surveys collect information from people, which means their contact details and other personal information is revealed as part of the survey process. As CIO, you are probably the responsible person in your organisation to ensure governance of customer data under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

The APPs, which are contained in schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act), outline how most Australian and Norfolk Island Government agencies, all private sector and not-for-profit organisations with an annual turnover of more than $3 million, all private health service providers and some small businesses (collectively called ‘APP entities’) must handle, use and manage personal information.

For this reason, ASR hosts SurveyManager® securely in Australia when you access our SurveyManager® product as Software-as-a-Service via our Private Internet Cloud. Alternatively, we will install the product behind your firewall or discuss hosting on AWS, Vault Systems or your provider of choice.

Unlike some alternative solutions, our clients can be assured that their data will be held securely and confidentially in Australia. This also ensures also that your data is not subject to the USA PATRIOT Act (short for The Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001).
